Crash immediately when I press f2

Added by Arca Bachisio about 2 years ago

I am able to import an xyz cloud but, after the visualizzation of the points, when i press f2 or the relative button to start with the data elaboration steps, the software crashed immediately. I am using the version 4 under ubuntu 16.4 LTS. In the encosed lof file you can see the following warnings:

GEOMETRY glCompileShader “” FAILED
Warning: detected OpenGL error 'invalid enumerant’ at after RenderBin::draw(..)

Is there a problem with my graphics card?

Maby thanks in advance.

When you start Computree do you see the axis in the 3D graphics view ? or press “a” key on your keyboard to active it.

If your graphics card is not supported by shaders like yours the opengl engine in Computree will detect it and set a warning in the log but use a basic draw mode that don’t require shader but was more slow. You can force it when you go to parameters of the graphics view and set “BASIC” to all draw mode.

Yes, I see the axis and I can rotate them without problems. Regarding the graphic parameters I did not understand where can I set the parameters. I did not see the BASIC option.

Anyway, the crash occurred only when I try to add a step (f2 shortcut), so probably I have another problem in the code in addition to the graphics problems reported in the log file.

I think you don’t have a graphics problem. If you see the axis you will see all other graphics element. But you say that Computree Crash when you add a step. What type of file (extension) do you want to open ? What is the version of Computree you use ?

I can import laser data with different formats, for example a sample cloud with extension xyb. I can lunch the import processing by the specific button or by the button f3. Unfortunately the crash occurs only when I push the button ”+ add steps” in the bar or by the function f2 in order to perform the processing steps required after the import.

I am using the version 4 under ubuntu 16.4 LTS.

Ok i think there was a problem with your version of computree. Can you remove for test the file “config.ini” in the install directory of computree (when computree was off) and start it after. You must show the dialog that present all available step (the dialog that is show when you press F2). After that load a ".xyb” file and try to have another step after the first and execute the process. Can you make a screenshot before and when it crash please. Thank you

Many thanks. I applied what you suggested. The session started with the step panel but unfortunately the software crashed when I selected the xyb file and press return. It is very strange, a sort of conflict between import process and steps window seems to be. What you suggest now?

Is it possible to download the code and compile it directly in my computer; the operating system messages may be help to understand the problem.
