Final SimpleTree Project Release

Added by Hackenberg Jan over 2 years ago

Hi everyone!!!

Beta33 is out. I did major adapations for output. The allometric improvement is advanced and I developed an efficient tool to detect and reduce overesimtation also for conifers.

You can easily extract what I consider truee measurements now with 1 line in R from my csv - QSMs. All corrected cylinders are tagged with a string different from “NOALLOM”´. If you want to use corrected cylinders volume, I recommend the allometric correction step with growth volume.

You can see here in this video what I mean with true measurements at minute 4:00

Many Many of you have the wrong video channel, please bookmark the above. All Videos on Computree Youtube channel are outdated since 9 months or so.

I find no time to test more high resuloted clouds. Really high resoluted. My allometric improvements should handle a lot of observed problems, but I assume regarding Single Tree scanning desings my tool would have to adapt. Overall I assume I developed more stable towards lower resoluted scanning designs than higher. I yet cover a good range of point cloud quality and not many people should be even thining about that warning.

Best

The file is named SimpleTree_Beta_4.33_Computree 5.0.054b.zip

And added a script dedicated for coniferous plots.

Still writing my project report and validating Beta33. I got rid of a maximum threshold for slope in the DTM step and released 4.33.03. Just a change in the number and 4.33.02 was just a change to prevent a crash by better configuring input and output data.

I also added an updated script named:
SimpleTree_Plot_Beta_4_33_03_DTM_FIX_Pipeline.xsct2

I added to the pipeline script of Beta4.33.01 the clear sky filter. It was removed as the data I use seems to not contain any sky points (good Faro filter might be the reason). The clear sky filter is in that case set that a point has to has less than 2 neighborrs (the k) in a 1 m range (the second parameter). It will therefore do nothing in my script (all points should pass). In case you need clear sky filter please adapt the k parameter to something like 1000. Then it will definitely filter out remaining sky points, but also a bit crown description.

The adjustment for pure coniferous plots is not included also, but I documented it before and you will as well find a video explaining what you can do on my youtube tutorial channel.

Sorry to the five users, my last commit was not the best (4_33_03).... My QSM crashes but I hope to have a fix soon.
