Is it possible to export some portion of the point cloud from the computree software in the format of .jpeg or .tiff?
Looking forward to hear from you.
Thank you

Hello,
I’m not sure to understand your question:
The point cloud is in 3D, jpeg and tiff are 2d formats.
Perhaps you think about a depth image export ?
This is planned for a future update, but not soon.
Else, you can use the view capture button (with a camera icon).
Best regards.

I want to export the screenshot in nice quality in 2D in .jpg or .tiff format. I pressed the camera icon but the software generates error as:
“Error writing file Warning: Could not find plugin to write image to file ”
What should i do in this case?
Thank you. Looking forward to hear from you
Best Regards,

I guess your version is Alexandres new year release.
a) you are right, the plugin is missing
b) I had the same issue months ago and solved by installing the needed plugin which I forgot to compile
c) I cannot imagine Alexandre forgot to put one of the core plugins...
d) I cannot help here, Alexandre needs to check.
e) If you need a not best but fast solution, on your keyboard you have a “print” button, you can make a screenshot from windows and manually extract the visualizer windows in an image processing software like gimp. Gimp is a bit more complicated, in the end you could also use Windows paint.

I can make jpgs with having the following plugins:
onf
toolkit
generate
base
Just checked on an empty visualizer. See please if those are contained in the folder “plugins” of your release.

I was using first version which didnt support such screenshot function...I require better quality of screenshot than using print button. I tried snipping tool previously when there was no such camera icon option in Computree but now the reviewer for the journal is asking me the image of quality at least 300 dpi. With screenshot (snipping tool) i cannot achieve the quality for publication.
I will try downloading plugins . By the way can you send me the link of those plugins to download.
Thank you

Hello,
The problem is that I’ve forgotten a dependency library in the windows release.
Download this file and put it in the Computree directory: osgdb_jpeg.dll
Sorry for that.
It will be corrected in next minor release.
Best regards.

Hello,
High resolution screenshot are not available in Computree v4.0.
We will try to add it in v4.1, but no commitment on this.
Best regards.
